I have been going over my monthly cell phone bill and have noticed that I am being taxed just about everywhere – not to mention repetitive. On top of the $69.99 monthly service charge, I find that various taxes are added onto that. This I understand. As I move along on my bill I find that each number (I have two lines) is also given about three to four different taxes; some which are the same taxes which were added on to the monthly service charges.

I thought that it eventually adds up as a total tax and that they are just breaking it down for me but I did the math and the percentages of the taxes for the monthly service and both of each lines are disproportionate. I thought for a second that the reason behind the difference in percentage was the fact that different taxes were added, but to my surprise I find that the taxes are the same: Federal Universal Service Fund; Telecom Excise Tax; and Utility Use.

What is going on here? Am I being ripped off? Or is this correct. How can I find out if the percentages are correct? Has anyone else encountered such problem?

Thank you all so much.

Hi all, I did a stupid thing yesterday. I decided to leapfrog over one of those long metal telecom service boxes you find in the middle of the pavement/side walk. I missed the end by about 4 inches, got my arm stuck under me and I crushed it between me and the metal telecoms box. It hurt at the time, couldn’t twist my hand to its extremities. Woke up this morning and it was even worse, couldn’t lift anything and hurt if I twisted my hand at all.

As they say went on it got better to the point now where it only hurts if I twist my hand to the extremities. Also hurts if I have my hand in certain positions and I pull or push something. Eg, push a door.

Just want to know if it sounds like a break or just something that will repair itself over a few days. My friends say its maybe a sprain, but that’ss in muscles isn’t it and I didn’t exactly use any muscles to crush my arm…

Thanks
Jack

BT (British Telecom) my service provider thinks it is a line fault but the connection only goes bad when my Dynamic IP address changes. I know it changes and its not usually a problem when it does. Symptoms are that the address changes and my connection to internet goes off for hours. When the service returns, I notice the IP Address has changed. This happens every time without exception. BT have been trying to fix this for 4 weeks now. Does anyone know why the changing of an IP addr puts me off the Internet for so long?
